#god Cas is just so alone in season 5 #he’s lost his family in order to do the right thing #and he goes off on his search for God #all alone #with no support from his only friend because Dean thinks it’s a stupid mission #and it’s not like he can really make friends #except for the Winchesters and Bobby #so he’s just… alone #he loves Dean but man it’s no wonder he was so eager to go back up to heaven when Lucifer was back in the cage #because he’s used to being a part of a garrison #with his family #for millenia #and I kinda have to wonder #if maybe he doesn’t want to be as alone as he was then #and that’s one of the reasons why he’s been clinging to the idea of returning back to heaven as it was #of fixing things and having a place again #because he doesn’t want to be alone #and he’s afraid that if he chooses the Winchesters #chooses Dean #that Dean won’t choose him back #that Dean will reject him #or maybe just push him aside the way he’s done so many times #not because he doesn’t care but because Dean can be cruel like that #and Cas will be alone again #and that terrifies him (via deathbycoldopen)
